How easy is it to upgrade a VB-Airsuspension suspension system?

It's a good question, but one that doesn't necessarily have a simple answer. There are two possibilities when it comes to upgrading a suspension system:

  1. expand/upgrade an existing system;
  2. upgrade an existing system with another (air) suspension system.

Is it possible to expand/upgrade an existing system?
Yes, it is possible in some situations to expand or upgrade a VB-Airsuspension system (depending on the kit). One example here is the VB-SemiAir basic system. This system can be upgraded to a system with a control panel and compressor or even a system with automatic level control.

Is it possible to upgrade an existing system with another (air) suspension system?
Yes, it is – depending on the existing system fitted on your vehicle. Already have a full air suspension system on the rear axle of your vehicle? In certain situations, it can be upgraded with a system on the front axle. Have semi air suspension on the rear axle of your vehicle? In this case it can be upgraded in certain situations, e.g. with reinforced coil springs on the front axle.

These are just a few examples showing that there is no one-size-fits-all answer. There are several factors to consider here, depending on the type of product and type of vehicle.

Wondering whether your existing system can be upgraded/expanded? Want to know which (air) suspension systems would be suitable for use with your existing system? Please contact one of our VB-Partners. They will be pleased to advise you on your specific needs.
