Wish: Option to uprate the maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW)
An (air) suspension system could well be the solution! If you are at the maximum gross vehicle weight, there are risks involved. This can lead to unsafe situations. Or: Your current suspension system is not ideal for the current condition, application or use of your vehicle. With an (air) suspension system, you can 'reinforce' your current (original) suspension system, making your vehicle suitable for the desired increase in the maximum gross vehicle weight.
You can therefore compensate for the shortcomings of your current suspension system by upgrading your vehicle with an (air) suspension system. This brings the vehicle back to the desired ride height and makes it level.
This is desirable, since having your vehicle level and at the correct ride height is ideal for safety and contributes to increased safety, increased comfort, increased stability and optimal driveability.
This wish is common with the following:
You want to uprate your maximum gross vehicle weight.
Vehicles are becoming heavier and heavier. In many cases, vehicles are also made even heavier by conversions, such as body modifications to your vehicle. However, in general: your vehicle must not be loaded heavier than prescribed. In many cases, this maximum prescribed weight can be increased by adjusting the springs. If your vehicle is too heavy, that's a problem.
How is that possible? Probably unlike during the installation of your current suspension system, our (air) suspension systems (from our VB-Partners) are recommended based on the current condition, application and use of your vehicle.
My maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) needs to be uprated.
If your vehicle is too heavy, you may encounter the problem that your vehicle hits or even exceeds the maximum gross vehicle weight. Your vehicle is (almost) not compliant.
Characteristics of the problem (visible, tangible or audible):
1. Visible, your vehicle is sagging or is too low.
2. Tangible, when driving in certain situations.
3. Audible, you hear noises inside or outside the vehicle.
Possible consequences of the problem:
1. You no longer comply with the regulations, your vehicle is too heavy.
2. You are not insured, your vehicle is too heavy.
3. You will not be allowed through during a traffic check, you must reduce your weight on site.
4. Your vehicle has too little spring travel, at the expense of your comfort.
5. Your vehicle (including its occupants and contents) will be subjected to heavy wear and tear, at the expense of its durability.
Great news!
